Lord, we don't even know
But we fear the worst.
Our hearts cry out
But not with joy.
Our voices can be heard
But not because we're happy.
Why? Why dear God?
Why has this happened?
How could you let this happen!?
And in the midst
Of my anger, confusion,
Pain, and sorrow,
These words still echo
In my head:
"Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us."
